Server Etiquette: Building a Positive Community

Playing on a multiplayer server like Medieval Realms is an incredibly rewarding experience, but maintaining a positive environment requires respect, communication, and cooperation. By following these etiquette guidelines, you’ll help foster a welcoming and enjoyable community for everyone.

1. Show Respect to Others

  • Treat all players with kindness and courtesy.
  • Avoid offensive language, harassment, or bullying—everyone is here to have fun.
  • Respect the property and creations of others. Griefing, or intentionally destroying or altering another player’s work, is a serious breach of etiquette and will not be tolerated. Always ask for permission before modifying shared spaces.

2. Communicate Responsibly

  • Use chat respectfully—avoid spamming, excessive use of ALL CAPS, or disruptive behavior.
  • Be mindful of your language, steering clear of inappropriate or offensive remarks.
  • If disagreements arise, take them to private messages to avoid involving the entire server. Keep public chat friendly and inclusive.

3. Collaborate and Cooperate

  • Help new players navigate the server’s rules and gameplay mechanics.
  • Share resources, assist with projects, and participate in server events to strengthen the community.
  • Ensure your assistance is welcome—some players prefer to play independently.
  • If you take resources from communal areas, contribute back to maintain balance and fairness.

4. Follow the Rules

  • Familiarize yourself with the Server Rules and adhere to them diligently.
  • When in doubt, ask an admin or experienced player for guidance.
  • Respecting the rules not only shows appreciation for the server but also ensures a harmonious and enjoyable experience for all.
